Job Description

With direct guidance in a team environment, responsible for operating one or more CNC production machines working from blueprints, sketches and route sheets.

  • Perform repetitive machine operations (including reworking parts) such as milling, turning, facing and deburring. Make minor adjustments and report improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction.
  • Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followed.
  • Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surfaces.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks cracks or other irregularities from machined parts.
  • Inspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gages or other measuring instruments.
  • Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with blueprint reading and GD&T concepts.
  • Minimum 2-4 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
  • Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
  • Experience with common inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, go / no-go, etc.
  • Experience with Fanuc or equivalent control sytems preferred.
