Salary: $26-$35 per hour

Are you a skilled legal assistant with litigation experience looking for a new opportunity? Join our prestigious law firm located in the vibrant SouthPark area of Charlotte. We specialize in representing auto manufacturers, focusing on products liability cases. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of timekeepers and partners, handling tasks such as drafting, editing, correspondence, and more. This role offers competitive pay in the range of $26-$35 per hour, along with a positive and collaborative work environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Litigation Support: Provide comprehensive support to three timekeepers, assisting with drafting, editing, correspondence, and motion preparation. Handle filing, mail handling, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Client Representation: Specialize in products liability cases, supporting our firm's focus on defending companies that manufacture products.

Document Management: Utilize document management systems such as iManage for document review and organization. Receive in-house training as needed to effectively navigate software tools.

Calendaring and Timekeeping: Manage calendaring through Compulaw and assist attorneys with entering time electronically using Adderance Expert Time. Ensure accurate tracking of billable hours and deadlines.

Office Environment: Enjoy a positive and cohesive work environment with friendly and supportive colleagues. Benefit from free parking and the convenience of a SouthPark location.

Experience Requirements:

Litigation Experience: Previous experience in litigation is a must, with a preference for candidates with exposure to products liability cases. Experience in insurance defense or medical malpractice is also relevant.

Tools and Software: Document Management: Familiarity with document management systems such as iManage, WorldDocs, or NetDocs is advantageous.

Calendaring: Experience with Compulaw for calendaring is preferred.

Timekeeping: Knowledge of Adderance Expert Time or similar timekeeping software is beneficial.
