JOB SUMMARY

This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer. The level of the role will be determined based on relevant years of experience. This position is responsible for managing the teams which owns many highly collaborative processes between the broader HR team and the business. This includes company-wide Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). The job is located in our Corporate Headquarters in Houston, Texas with Monday-Thursday in the office and half-day Fridays remote.


Job requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning & Development

* Oversee company-wide learning and development.
* Work with the L&D Specialist, HR Managers, and the business to identify and manage knowledge, skills, and capability gaps in the organization.
* Design the strategy to deliver people development programs including leadership development, professional skills, and technical skills.
Internal Communications

* Lead all internal communications and planning between Coterra and its employees through various internal communications channels including email, newsletters, intranet, and other relevant platforms to keep employees engaged.
* Manage incoming requests of communications and workflow of reviews cycles to ensure information is approved and distributed through the appropriate channels.
* Work with stakeholders to understand information to be communicated and present a recommended approach on format, style, and distribution.
* Develop and maintain clear and consistent key messaging that aligns with company goals and values.

Culture/Employee Engagement and Experience

* Work with CHRO and CRO to ensure desired culture is understood and embraced by all employees.
* Work with CHRO and broader HR team to design employee touchpoints that foster connectivity and enhance our culture.
* Identify and implement effective ways to track impact of employee engagement/community building initiatives.
* Monitor internal and external perception of company and its culture.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)

* Design and embed DE&I initiatives and programs across all levels and business areas.
* Identify DE&I opportunity areas, monitor metrics, and establish plans.
* Ensure corporate branding and marketing strategies align with DEI goals.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Proven experience working with and presenting to all levels of the organization, including C-Suite.
* Ability to interact with diverse groups of people and build credibility to drive projects forward.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Team player who possesses the ability to adapt and streamline processes, workflows, and systems.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, with proper grammar, style, and a strong attention to detail.
* Strong project management and reporting skills.
* Experience working with Learning Management System (LMS). Workday is preferred, but not required.
* Experience leading and directing the work of employees and project teams.
* Experience in the oil and gas industry or another technical field is preferred.
* Established proficiency with Microsoft Office required, with emphasis on PowerPoint, Teams, Word and Excel.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors' degree required, preferably in human resources, business, or related area.


YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of management experience, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Percent of Travel Required: 10% - 20%; Travel may be required for mandatory meetings or training.
