Accounting Clerk

Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract to hire position located in the Mebane, North Carolina area. What you get to do every single day

- Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

- Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

- Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers

- Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources

- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

- Experience with high volume data entry

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

- Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
