Job Description

The Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Services team on new design and system improvement projects as well as engineering changes and 3D scans. The intern will interact with product engineering, manufacturing, and quality team functions as needed. The Engineering Intern will be working at Parker Hannifin's New Britain, CT facility under the Engine Mobile Original Equipment Division.

Essential Functions

* Under the direction of the Team Leader, utilize judgment in performance of duties in conjunction with company policies, procedures, and processes.

* Work on assigned projects related to new designs and system improvements supporting the Engineering Services team.

* Support engineering changes including CAD model adjustments, drawing and change system updates as needed.

* Support 3D scanner requests including equipment operation to generate scans, evaluate output against requested target.

* Support lab builds and testing as needed on new or existing designs.

* Assist with various related engineering functions, e.g., product design, costs reduction, and quality control.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Must be enrolled in a degree program aiming for a BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar Engineering focus. Sophomore status or higher.

* GPA of 3.0 or higher.

* Must have strong computer skills, CAD software experience (Inventor or Pro E/Creo preferred)

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.

* Must have the ability to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
