Cyber-Electronic Warfare Integration Engineer (Systems Engineering, Senior Associate)

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Cyber-Electronic Warfare Integration Engineer (Systems Engineering, Senior Associate) to support a Department of Defense client from our Patuxent River, MD location.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide weapon systems acquisition with focus in systems engineering and Cyber-Electronic Warfare (EW) support to MIL's DoD customer.
• Support the research, development, acquisition, test and evaluation, fielding, upgrades, and sustainment of Cyber-Electronic Warfare (EW) convergent capabilities and risk/benefit assessment methodologies.
• Contribute technical leadership identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems.
• Guide the engineering development of modern complex Cyber-EW systems; and employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems.
• Perform analysis and trade-off studies for candidate solution technologies and capabilities.
• Coordinate with associated programs/labs/sites as directed by MIL's DoD customer.
• Provide technical and engineering analysis of contractors' proposals.
• Contribute to the development of requirement specifications for upgraded and new Cyber-EW systems.
• Ability to support the Government Customer at briefings, including Flag level.

Travel

Total travel is expected to be less than 10% to CONUS, and occasionally to OCONUS, sites.

Required Qualifications

• 10 or more years of experience in Electronic Warfare design and development, specifically including Naval Aviation.
• Extensive knowledge of DoD Weapon Systems Acquisition Life Cycle and requirements formulation.
• This experience must include in-depth knowledge of designing, operating, and maintaining aircraft avionics, RADARs, electronic intelligence sensors, electro-optical and IR systems design, development, and operations. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of a range of Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) used by ISR aircraft.
• 6 or more years as a Lead Systems Engineer in technically similar top-tier company involved with aviation, avionics, and weapons systems.
• Hands-on avionics technical experience as a previous member of the US Navy, ideally as an Avionics Technician responsible for airborne sensor operation.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and provide technical support to end-users.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

• The ability to see the interconnection between Cyber and EW, develop actionable insights for MIL's DoD customer(s), and contribute to the advancement of the state-of-the-art.
• Excellent chemistry with colleagues, strong team collaboration skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college. Master's degree in Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (or 4 years of experience substitution, in addition to the 10+ years experience requirement).

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $150,000 - $210,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
