The Department of Transportation is currently seeking a diligent and dedicated Highway Equipment Manager 2 to join our team! In this position, you will perform managerial work in maintaining, repairing, and dispatching fleets of automotive and highway maintenance equipment. In this position, you will be overseeing the highway equipment program for a District Office or County Maintenance Organization, including maintenance, repair, and dispatch of heavy construction and automotive equipment. This includes managing the maintenance, repair, and dispatch of a fleet of heavy construction and automotive equipment. Additionally, you will supervise the equipment repair facilities and related personnel, as well as ensure the upkeep of the building, grounds, stockpiles, and facilities used for equipment storage and maintenance. You will directly supervise the mechanic supervisor and office, shop, and storeroom personnel.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Highway Equipment Manager 1; or
- Three years of experience in the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines and other components of heavy highway maintenance and construction vehicles and equipment including two years of such experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License with Air Brakes Restriction removed and tank (N) and HAZMAT (H) or Tank/HAZMAT (X) endorsements.
- This position requires possession of a valid Class 7 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification.
- This position requires one year of experience or training in the repair or maintenance of diesel engines.
