Design Engineer

Summary: Seeking entry and mid level Design Engineers with a focus on integration and interiors, ready to work on interior components design and modifications.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university

• For entry-level positions: 0-2 years related experience and/or training in integration/interiors

• For mid-level positions: 2-3 years related experience and/or training in product design

• Relevant 3D solid modeling and drafting experience; proficiency in NX is preferred, but Catia, Solidworks or other systems may also be considered

• Strong mechanical engineering skills including mechanisms, kinematics, kinetics, free body diagrams, and understanding of how stresses flow through a particular design

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with interior payloads, modifications to interiors, VIP interiors, installation/design of interior components such as lavatories, galleys, closets, partitions, sidewalls, ceiling panels, floor panels, stowbins etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply mechanical engineering skills to develop designs for aircraft interiors

• Use relevant 3D modeling software to create drafts for review

• Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful integration of new designs into existing structures.

 

 Pay: 40-54

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
