Summary:

Cook Children’s in Prosper, TX is seeking a Child Life Specialist. You must have completed a Child Life Fellowship/Internship to be considered for this position. Our Child Life Specialists ensure that patients and their families have an excellent patient experience by assessing, educating, preparing, and supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. This role collaborates closely with other healthcare and community providers to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment.

The Child Life Specialist helps support this goal by supporting the full patient experience by providing focused psychosocial and emotionally safe care to patients, siblings, and families. Required Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in child Life, child development or closely related field.

Completion of a child life internship/fellowship.

Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, preferred within one year of hire.

American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.

$5000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants
