Tool Die Maker

DIRECT HIRE - TOOL & DIE MAKER

$28.87/hr. to start, $29.77/hr. mid-rate, $31.39/hr. top rate. They must be flexible to train on days or 2nd shift but home shift will be 3rd. Shift differential of $1 when on 2nd or 3rd shift. They will need to do a hands-on test too if interview goes well and they need to further confirm his or her skill set. Hours are 9:30 pm – 5:30 am

Job Summary:

In this role, you will sharpen and maintain stamping tools and assembly tools. Make new and rebuild stamping tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot manufacturing problems on dies.

· Work with and advise Tool & Die Makers, Machinists and Mechanics on die issues.

· Clean machines and tool room equipment.

· Hold dimensional tolerances called out on drawings.

· Read blueprints.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Adhere to all company policies.

· Must observe all good housekeeping practices.

· Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.

· Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

· Safety glasses, hairnet, face/beard cover, gloves, slip resistant steel toed safety shoes and hearing protection as required

Basic Qualifications:

· Education: High School or equivalent

· Experience: 6+ years of Tool & Die experience

· Good mechanical aptitude needed. Proficiency with math and print reading necessary.

· Must be skilled with lathe and mill work as well as grinding skills.

· Willing to work overtime as needed
