The Team
The team leading Food Hall—over 20 strong—are essential to its success; every position matters. We seek colleagues that share our commitment to personal growth and operational excellence.

Position Summary/Objective
The Steward (Dishwasher) is a pivotal and essential position at Food Hall. S/he will oversee thorough dishwashing procedures and practices to fully sanitize each dish according to health and safety standards for each one of our operators within the scheduled timelines. S/he is in charge of maintaining a clean dish pit throughout the shift and for next party’s use when needed.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains a clean dish room, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and assists as needed.
  • Keep operator materials separate and organized from each dept.
  • Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
  • Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
  • Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
  • Properly washes, stacks, and stores bus tubs, pots, pans, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Maintains the chemical storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
  • Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
  • Assists in storage and any other duties set forth or requested by the lead.
  • An expectation of flexible participation in different areas of need
  • Keeps the walls, shelves, floors, etc free of food debris at end of shift.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and positive work ethic.
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly.
  • Teamwork.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to take direction from management and represent the company appropriately.


Required Education and Experience

  • High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics, such as food safety is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to Stand and Work for 8 hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
