People Creating Success is currently hiring floater direct support professionals in Ventura/Oxnard to provide support to adults with developmental disabilities in the activities of daily living. We are in search of compassionate, patient, and caring individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.

Job Duties:

Vary per Person Served needs. Some duties might include but are not limited to:

Follow the Program Plan of individual including working towards individual goals.

Fill out all required documentation at the end of each shift.

Have the ability to perform duties depending on the level of care of individual.

Will maintain current progress notes and date frequency count on each resident assigned to them.

Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.

Assist with daily living activities depending on individuals needs. These may include:

Cleaning, cooking and light household duties

Participating in community events and activities

Helping individual make healthy food choices and stick to a budget

Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities

Hygiene and bathing help if applicable for Individual

Lifting and transferring if applicable for Individual

Assist with medication dispersal if applicable for Individual

Communicate with other staff and program managers about individual’s progress

Maintain ability to exercise mature judgment and relate to residents in a warm, caring and non-expletive way

Requirements for Employment:

We provide comprehensive training in all aspects of the position, and there are opportunities for advancement including lead staff and management.

Successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including

criminal background check,

drug screening

provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States

CPR/First Aid/AED certified a plus. We provide training if you are not certified!

Valid Drivers License and clean driving record with proof of insurance if applicable
