Village Green Lawn & Landscaping is seeking a RESIDENTIAL LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN to join our team!

Village Green Lawn & Landscaping is a family owned and operated company that has been serving Plano and the surrounding cities for over 40 years in the areas of fertilization & weed control, irrigation repair and landscape installation. Our passion is Growing Plants, Growing People and Growing Relationships. We have an amazing team of about 12 people that is hard working, supportive of each other and our customers, passionate about the quality of our work and driven to continually improve our efficiency and profits.

ROLE MISSION: To provide Village Green’s clients a positive, personal experience while creating a healthy and beautiful lawn through professional lawn care services.

Do you need landscape experience? No. We are very good teachers. Most of our star team members had never worked in the landscape industry before coming to Village Green.

What you'll do:

• Work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays
• Provide unmatched customer service by communicating with the customer in a professional manner about their service.
• Make recommendations for continuous improvement in customers’ lawn care needs.
• Identify solutions for common and complex lawn care issues and play an active role in the implementation of those solutions.
• Use environmentally responsible lawn care products and follows proper application guidelines.
• Drive an assigned route using a company vehicle.
• Maintain company vehicle including cleanliness, submitting requests for routine maintenance to the fleet department.
• Use technology (smart phone, tablet, etc.) to read and follow routes, order specifications, and enter job details.

What we need from you:

• ***Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.***
• Background in lawn care/landscaping or golf course maintenance preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work Saturday hours on an as-needed basis to meet production goals.
