Job Description

Unified Group Services is a full-service third-party administrator (TPA) for self-insured group health plans. We're dedicated to providing excellent customer service and the flexibility our customers desire in administering employee benefit plans.

Unified Group Services has a reputation for excellent customer service in the marketplace, and this position is crucial to continuing that status.

The Account Executive will be focused on maintaining customer & broker relationships by concentrating on their needs and requirements. Each Account Exec has their own list of customers and is the liaison for these groups.

Travel is required when going to customer locations to review their current medical plan and consult with them regarding potential cost savings ideas. There may also be occasional conferences, customer health fairs, etc., requiring attendance.

Training will be provided, and once the employee has developed strategies and confidence, they will work independently.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintaining customer and broker relationships.
  • Meet with each customer at least three times a year to present reviews and renewals.
  • Communicate any changes the customer would like made to internal team members to make to their health plan.
  • Respond to all customer requests for information.
  • Ability to build strong relationships that can promote Unified professionally, emphasizing value and superior customer service.
  • Proactively prepare for meetings and presentations.
  • Learn and stay current on industry changes, health care options; may be asked to get a certification when necessary.

Education, Experience, And Skills Required:

  • Friendly, professional demeanor that is customer focused.
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Strong project management skills, including coordinating and balancing multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Possess good language skills using proper grammar and diction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 3+ years of customer management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
