Estimator (Window & Door_

Receives window and door takeoff from salesperson, itemizes and estimates the job, prepares final proposal, places order with vendors, purchase order creation and work order creation.

This job has no supervisory duties.

Strong knowledge of impact windows and doors.

Solid understanding of estimating and cost control.

Experience with preparing cost estimates.

Ability to read plans, specifications, and N.O.A product approvals.

Review contractor bid scope sheets, fill out and submit.

Extremely organized.

Exceptional attention to detail and multi-tasking to meet required deadlines.

Requires ability to effectively present information one-on-one to co-workers and vendors.

Requires ability to accurately work with mathematical concepts such as geometry and algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and dimensions to practical situations such as calculating quantity and measurements for take-off lists and project summaries.

Requires ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must be able to operate computers, printers, calculators, copiers, rolling scale, technical scale, and other standard office equipment.
