Calling All Superhero Lead Teachers for Pre-School Adventures! Plus, a Sign-On Bonus to Kickstart the Journey!

Position: Infant and toddler Lead Teacher Extraordinaire About Us at YWCA NENY

Since blasting off in 1888, YWCA NENY has been on a non-stop adventure, leading the way in fun, innovation, and making a real difference in our community. We're on a mission to zap racism, boost women's power, and build a world filled with peace, justice, dignity, and freedom for everyone. Our clubhouse is a melting pot of awesome people from all over the galaxy, and we're on the lookout for someone with superpowers (aka skills and passion) to join our crew.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept: We're rolling out the red carpet for a spirited Lead Teacher to join our Early Learning Center (ELC) squad. You'll be the captain of a spaceship, navigating through the universe of imagination and learning, for our mini astronauts aged six weeks to five years. If your superpower is inspiring tiny humans and shaping the future, then beam yourself up for this epic adventure!

Perks of Being a Superhero:

  • Sign-On Bonus: A treasure chest to welcome you aboard.
  • Supercharged Robust Paid Time Off: Power up with plenty of time off. Plus, we celebrate all public holidays in style—paid!
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: We've got your back (and teeth and eyes) with stellar coverage.
  • Pension Plan: A golden parachute for your superhero retirement. We contribute even if you're too busy saving the world.
  • Professional Development: Boost your superpowers with training designed just for you.
  • Employee Discount: 43-50% off at our ELC programs for your sidekicks and mini-me’s.

Your Superhero Duties:

  • Craft Magical Lesson Plans: Whip up weekly spells (aka lesson plans) that spark curiosity and growth.
  • Lead Your League: Mentor and guide your team of fellow educators to victory.
  • Assess and Celebrate Growth: Keep tabs on your young protégés' superpowers through assessments and reports.
  • Partner with Super Parents: Host biannual conferences to share secret insights into their child's super journey.
  • Communicate with HQ: Work with the Directors to keep the mission on track and the environment safe.
  • Guardian of Safety: Be the shield that keeps dangers at bay.
  • Master of Resources: Keep your lab (classroom) stocked with gadgets and gizmos aplenty.
  • Share Secret Intel: Be a beacon of information and support for families.
  • Admin Wizardry: Tackle paperwork and meetings with the flick of your wand.
  • Embrace Extra Missions: Always be ready for new adventures that enhance the learning universe.

Your Hero Profile:

  • Education: Possess a CDA (Child Development Associate) with one year of experience OR an Associate's/bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field with no experience required.
  • Experience: Whether you're a seasoned hero or just starting your journey, we welcome heroes of all levels to join our league.
  • Physical Superpowers: Ability to sit on the floor, lift up to 25 pounds, and chase after adventures indoors and out.

Work Hours: Flexible full-time schedules to fit your hero lifestyle.

Join Our League of Extraordinary Educators: We're an equal-opportunity hero agency committed to diversity and inclusivity. We celebrate all heroes regardless of their origin story because we believe that diversity is our superpower.
