We're on the lookout for a versatile and skilled 3D Artist to spearhead the creation and integration of diverse art content ranging from character design to environmental art, utilizing Maya and Unreal Engine. This role is perfect for someone who is not only hands-on in producing outstanding art from scratch but also adept at enhancing existing vendor files and seamlessly integrating art assets into the gaming engine..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of visually striking and optimized game assets, ensuring a seamless Maya to Unreal workflow.
  • Integrate and configure art assets within the game, enhancing the visual and gameplay experience.
  • Employ knowledge of animation workflows, lighting, and shader work within Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborate closely with art, design, and tech teams to guarantee assets meet the highest quality standards and gameplay objectives.
  • Supply game assets to the marketing team, adhering to specific guidelines and utilizing tools like game captures and Marmoset.
  • Drive the innovation of new features and tools to refine game development processes and workflows.
  • Maintain clear and efficient communication with team members to ensure the swift and successful delivery of game assets.
  • Balance artistic creativity with technical proficiency, maintaining a 75% artistic and 25% technical focus.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in game art and design.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in game development with Unreal Engine.
  • A portfolio showcasing a keen artistic sense and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating game-ready art, particularly through mid-poly workflows.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of game art creation for Unreal.
  • Proficiency in Unreal's blueprints, shaders, sequencer, and other asset implementation tools.
  • Familiarity with standard 3D content creation software (Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter etc.), Perforce, and at least one project management tool like Jira.
  • Knowledge of maintaining content structure throughout the production phase.

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with Maya Tool Environment and scripting in Python or Pymel.
  • Unreal UE scripting expertise.
