Job Title:

Supervisor II, Agency Accounts Receivable

Location:

Richmond, VA; This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least 3 days per week in office.

Role Summary:

Responsible for supervising collection analysts to drive timely collection of receivables for global parent company and coordination of efforts with onshore and offshore staff and departments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for oversight and daily management of all agency accounts receivable
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging within agreed and accepted company targets (reviewed and adjusted yearly)
  • Ongoing review of client accounts to assess collectability of receivables and to head off potential problem accounts
  • Work as liaison between the sales team, collections team and the customers to develop a strategy for payment resolution for escalated issues
  • Ensure proper follow-through is enforced for all collection escalation issues
  • Review and evaluate adherence to credit terms and limits for existing customers to identify and mitigate default risks
  • Provide critical reports to customers, sales team, and management on all relevant information on past due accounts
  • Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to effectively monitor collection activity
  • Share essential collection information with team members and/or management.
  • Manage the performance metrics and level of attainment for on-shore Collections Analysts
  • Direct the activities of the on-shore Collections Analysts’ interactions with sales team, collections team, and customers
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal openly and honestly with internal and external customers while building credibility and maintaining trust
  • Develop goals and administer yearly performance evaluations for Collections Analysts
  • Handle other special projects and reporting as assigned

  • Accurate, detail-oriented financial and payment behavior analysis skills
  • High level of Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Direct and effective communicator with external customers and internal commercial teams
  • General knowledge of logistics industry receivables is preferred
  • Effective planning and project management skills
  • Experience working with analytical software products is desirable
  • Google Suite proficiency is desirable

Required Minimum Years Experience:

3+ years function-related experience

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
