Position: Cardiac-Rehab & Stress Testing Supervisor

Duties:

  • Cardiac-Rehabilitation - Responsible for design, implementation and evaluation of risk factor reduction education programs for patients and family. Also responsible for monitoring the hemo-dynamic responses of the exercising patient as well as continually assessing bio-psych-social and educational needs. Perform GXT assessments and assist Nuclear Medicine Technician during stress testing of patients.
  • Clinical Telemedicine - Responsible for telemedicine services including scheduling, and computer input.
  • Work with Director of Radiology and Director of Rehab Services, assisting in stress tests, coordinating telemedicine and performing patient care management for cardiac rehab.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology Science.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in similar setting preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in required skills including the ability to demonstrate exercises and use of equipment. Ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative and promptly/appropriately follow through with duties. Ability to determine staffing needs and supervise staff.
  • Familiar with creating operational and capital budgets. Capable of creating departmental policies and procedures. Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as a team member.
  • Interpersonal skills a must with members, co-workers and other hospital personnel, medical staff, patients, and visitors. Ability to be courteous, diplomatic and tactful when interacting with others; ability to excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Kinesiology with a degree in exercise physiology or exercise science.
  • BLS certified or eligible.
  • ACLS certified or eligible.
