Position Summary:
ACU has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Mortgage Department in Ashland, KY.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Collect and verify employment, financial data, asset, and liability information. Calculate member’s monthly income and expense ratios. Follow up with members via telephone, email, or face-to-face to obtain necessary documentation.
Coordinate and satisfy follow-up requests from underwriters.
Request required real estate services needed such as Flood Determination Letter, Property Title Searches, and Real Estate Appraisals though approved vendors.
Prepare closing package. Research and resolve all items in the closing package to ensure closing process is on-time and documentation is complete and accurate.
General knowledge of conventional and government loan programs, including FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (Reg Z, TILA) and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA)
Conform with all Fair Lending and anti-discrimination laws set forth by the NCUA and other applicable regulatory bodies.
Other duties as requested by the President, EVP or manager.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years’ experience in mortgage processing or similar role
Ability to multitask in a potentially high pressure and time sensitive environment
Independent worker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm EST
