Working Journeyman

Summary: Enterprise Electrical is a growing commercial electrical company in the Houston area seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician. A journeyman electrician will work under the direct supervision of a Foreman and be responsible for completing assigned tasks in a timely manner to ensure smooth and on-time completion of projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

Work on and around high voltage energized equipment

Install various types of Electrical Conduit systems according to NEC

Setup and maintain temporary power systems

Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures

Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications

Cut, bend, and run conduit as specified on blueprints

Install junction boxes, panels, switches, plugs and fixtures

Terminate wires and cables to electrical equipment, such as, but not limited to, breakers, control panels, and distribution systems

Communicate and work under the direct Supervisor/Foreman (Licensed Journeyman and/or Master Electrician)

Work well under pressure particularly when faced with unexpected events, delays, tight timelines, or urgent demands

Ability to work well with others – team player

Knowledgeable about building a service

Qualifications:

Must have a valid Journeyman TDLR License

Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing assigned tasks

Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations

Detail oriented, results driven individual

Must be able to read blueprints, specifications, and wiring diagrams

Knowledgeable with all electrical equipment and hand tools

Must be able to handle a physical workload

Must have own tools and reliable transportation

Must be knowledgeable with circuitry/network

Ambition to want to grow within the company

Must show leadership qualities – possibility to become a Foreman

Must have good organizational skills and ability to handle administrative functions

Must know CenterPoint Standards
