What You Will Do:

In this role, you will work with a team supporting a National Security client with execution of IT project management initiatives, projects, and objectives to support accomplishment of the strategic goals of the organization.

The IT Governance Lead will be responsible to collaborate as part of the program management office (PMO) and responsibilities include:

  • Manage and enhance business processes

  • Facilitate meetings

  • Develop client communications and reports

  • Develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects

  • Identify and report on risks and issues

  • Apply agile framework concepts

  • Deliver solutions to complex program management challenges

  • Collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups to gather information, ensure tasks are completed on time, proactively raise risks and issues, and provide reports to senior level executives

  • Make improvements to the IT governance process, including implementing scalable governance and tracking analysis

  • Refine charters and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a maturing organizational governance structure

  • Support planning activities for IT initiatives of varying sizes from small team quarterly projects to multi-year organizational objectives


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree; Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has FOUR (4) or more years of experience; - OR - Associates degree and TWO (2) or more years of experience

  • THREE (3) or more years of project development experience on an Agile Team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance

  • Experience with the US Department of State or other Federal Agency

  • Experience working in the Intel Community (IC) or familiarity with IC

  • Experience with capacity planning to help understand the availability of resources for organizational projects

  • Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps to manage Agile process
