WAREHOUSE FORKLIFT SPECIALIST-JOB DESCRIPTION As part of our team, you will manage inventory, operate a forklift, receive and fulfill orders in an efficient manner, and process returns. This is a fast-paced and occasionally physical position, meaning you must be able to stand, crouch, and lift objects and parcels throughout your shift. The ideal candidate has prior experience with order fulfillment software, strong data entry and customer service skills, and forklift experience. You will generate customer order pick tickets; pull and stage materials required to fulfil customer orders; review customer orders for special requirements and shipping instructions; generate final checklists; and inspect, secure, and prepare materials for shipping. Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently; verify quality and quantity before shipping; prepare orders for shipment. Serving as point of contact between various departments needing information regarding anticipated revenues, material availabilities regarding customer orders, on-time delivery, or specific customer requirements. Participating in production meetings; sharing knowledge during the meetings. Reviewing production shortages, fulfilling shorts as materials arrive, providing status updates, and ensuring production is operating efficiently and address discrepancies as required. Monitoring inventory; ensuring enough inventory to fulfill orders. Recording and tracking activity in warehouse management and other systems. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment; complying with established procedures, rules, and regulations. Performing inspections of work to ensure quality standards are met. Cross-training with various other materials management positions to provide backup for peak demand, vacations, or absence. May also include safely operating forklift to unload/move/load inventory and other items.
