SENIOR LIVING SECURITY OFFICER - Full-time / Part-time

Full Time Security Officer-Starting hourly rate at $18.50/hour!

The Security Officer position at Bishop Gadsden (James Island, SC) is assigned to general security in the buildings and surrounding areas of the community, according to the established standards and within the assigned areas of responsibility.

A Typical Day:

• Patrol halls and grounds of community on a regular basis throughout shift according to standard procedure.
• Document any unusual or incorrect findings and produce incident reports as needed. 
• Respond to emergency pager according to procedure, providing any first aid as needed.
• Deliver prescription and other deliveries after hours if needed.
• Assist in checking residences if unusual situations warrant and require.
• Check fire extinguishers and assist in monthly and annual inspections.
• Trap and neutralize wildlife as necessary.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Participate in educational and departmental opportunities.

What We Need From You:

• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• General experience in security preferred.
• Valid SC driver’s license.
• Able to successfully complete training and be certified in Advanced First Aid (first responder) within 90 days of hiring date.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and Bishop Gadsden employees.
