SUMMARY

The Facilities Associate is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring that our physical environment supports the organization's needs and standards. This role involves a wide range of tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and improvement of facilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in keeping our workspace safe, functional, and welcoming for employees and visitors alike.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and carry out minor repairs to ensure the facility is operational and well-maintained. Coordinate with external contractors for more extensive repairs and maintenance work as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the facility, including common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Ensure that cleaning schedules are adhered to and standards of cleanliness are maintained.
  • Assist in the organization and rearrangement of office furniture and equipment to optimize space utilization and accommodate changes in staffing or facility use.
  • Manage the inventory of office supplies, furniture, and equipment. Order new supplies as needed and oversee the distribution of supplies to staff.
  • Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant health and safety regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of safety plans and emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for regular services such as cleaning, landscaping, and security. Monitor performance and address any issues.
  • Provide logistical support for events hosted at the facility, including setup and teardown, coordinating with event organizers, and ensuring facility readiness.


Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in facilities management, building trades, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual labor and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside of standard working hours if necessary.

LOCATION

100% on premise (may work evenings and weekends).

WAGES AND BENEFITS

Compensation $22 (hourly).
