Exciting Job Opportunity: Teacher Assistant

Join our dynamic team and help shape young minds! As a crucial member of our team, you'll:
 

  • Collaborate closely with our Preschool Teacher to organize engaging classroom activities in line with Head Start Performance Standards and cutting-edge early childhood methodologies.
  • Champion the safety, well-being, and active participation of our little learners in various educational activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with CACFP regulations during mealtimes, ensuring our children receive nutritious meals in a safe setting.
  • Maintain meticulous records of meal counts and attendance, ensuring precise documentation of our program's operations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing emergency evacuation procedures, prioritizing the safety of all children under your care.
  • Document and track children's daily progress and development, offering valuable insights into their growth journey.
  • Utilize assigned curriculum and individual child observations to design tailored daily programs that promote holistic development across physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and language domains.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A current Preschool CDA (Childhood Development Associate) or a written plan to earn one within the first six months or an associate/bachelor’s degree in early childhood education/child development or a related field within two years from the date of hire.
  • Current CPR and First Aid or earn within one month of hire.
  • A willingness to work with children with special needs and those with limited or no English language skills.
  • Preferred bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
