Restaurant Greeter

We’re looking to hire an energetic and outgoing Host/Hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You’ll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations. Your main duties include welcoming guests and guiding them to a table that has been cleared and cleaned. You’ll ensure that there are enough seats for the entire party and check that each guest has tableware. Your attire should be professional and neat, with comfortable shoes so you can stand on your feet frequently throughout your shift. $12 hourly

• Know the menu items and how dishes are prepared and be able to answer any questions about daily specials
• Acknowledge all customers warmly immediately upon arrival to ensure their first impression of the restaurant is positive
• Make sure dining room tables and chairs are neatly organized at all times and that condiments on the table are restocked if low
• Direct customers to their seats, ensuring tables are set properly with enough tableware for each diner, water glasses are filled, and menus are sanitized
• Respond to phone inquiries professionally and secure reservations while ensuring all seating issues are quickly and efficiently handled

• Thrive in a fast-moving environment while working in a team situation with extended hours of standing to be expected
• Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently
• Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and/or hospitality industry is appreciated but not a requirement
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED and should speak English well
