Job Description
Implement and organize games, sports and art activities for children ages 5 - 12. Supervises children in active play or organized activities, such as playground, swimming, sports, and field trips. Ability to interact with other counselors and supervisors.
This program runs Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. Program dates are June 10 - August 9. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; ability to perform in a fast-paced environment; ability to work independently and as a team; experience working in a public facility is preferred; must have flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
ADA COMPLIANCEPhysical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).
General Reed Center and Mary C. Canty Center - Must be able to lift, push, and or pull 50+ pounds on a regular basis in a manner that is safe and effective; must be able to handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, and moving tables of various shapes and sizes.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
