DSJ Global is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to our clients dynamic team. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS, with a focus on environmental aspects such as compliance permitting and monitoring within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage environmental compliance programs to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including air quality, water quality, waste management, and hazardous materials handling.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility operations to identify potential environmental risks and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate environmental impacts and reduce emissions, effluents, and waste generation.
- Provide guidance and support to operational teams to implement risk reduction measures and best practices.
- Respond to environmental incidents, spills, and emergencies, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety (EHS)
- Experience with environmental permitting processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CHMM, REM) are a plus.
