About the role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cruise Travel Specialist to join our team! As a Cruise Travel Specialist, you will engage in planning and organizing vacations for our clients. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of cruise lines, itineraries, and onboard experiences to create unforgettable journeys for our clients. If you have a deep understanding of the cruise industry, exceptional customer service skills, and a desire to help others explore the world through cruises, we invite you to apply. This position is fully remote, and all equipment will be provided by Harr Travel. Any applicant will need to be able to perform a full workload in a remote environment and have a place to work that is free from distractions and exterior noise to take calls from customers and potential new cruise leads. Essential Job Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management. Consult with clients to understand their cruise preferences, interests, and budget. Provide expert advice and recommendations on various cruise lines, ships, and itineraries. Assist clients in selecting the most suitable cruise options based on their preferences and requirements. Book cruise packages, including cabins, onboard amenities, dining arrangements, and shore excursions. Research and compare prices, promotions, and special offers from different cruise providers. Stay updated with the latest information on cruise lines, new ships, and onboard experiences. Educate clients on onboard activities, entertainment, dining options, and other amenities. Handle cruise-related documentation, including passport requirements, visas, and travel insurance. Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests. Assist clients in resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during their cruise vacation. Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and other relevant information. Build and maintain strong relationships with cruise suppliers and industry partners. Stay informed about industry trends, new cruise destinations, and emerging technologies. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities. Minimum Job Requirements: Previous experience in the cruise travel industry or a similar role is highly preferred. In-depth knowledge of various cruise lines, ships, itineraries, and onboard experiences. Specifically Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, NCL, Princess, Holland America, Oceania, Regent, Viking, and Ama Waterways. Passion for cruising and a personal interest in exploring different cruise destinations. Familiarity with different cabin categories, onboard amenities, and dining options. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in using travel booking systems and reservation software. Good understanding of travel documentation requirements and processes. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. What We Offer: Salary $45,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience. We offer a PTO policy that includes vacation days, a floating holiday program, and sick days.
