- Develops, trains and facilitates a team of equipment and plant maintenance personnel
- Coordinates teams to identify process improvements and to develop and document maintenance procedures
- Ensures compliance with the preventive maintenance program
- Cultivates relationships with steel mill personnel, vendors and other management personnel
- Develops maintenance systems and processes
- Develops and monitors the Maintenance Department's budget and business plan
- Responsible for developing, assessing and meeting KPIs
- Runs KPI reports, analyzes data and utilizes information for better decision-making
- Acts as project manager for significant repair, rebuild or installation activities
- Evaluates feasibility of capital expenditures
- Audits processes and inspects work as necessary
- Provides reporting and recordkeeping as required
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned by manager
- Some college or degree preferred
- Minimum of ten years of maintenance experience in industrial or construction environment
- Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement related programs and controls
- Ability to train, support and coordinate maintenance personnel
- Ability to understand and use financial data for decision making
- Management experience
- Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license
