Job Summary

Maintains and controls the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applies analytical work and thorough review of financial records. Expected to maintain fiscal responsibility, integrity, and a high level of confidentiality.


Responsibilities

· Performs month-end closing activities including the preparation and posting of journal entries

· Reconciles general ledger accounts; identifies and resolves discrepancies

· Assist the accounting team in the resolution of accounting related issues and implementing new accounting processes.

· Participates in ad hoc projects and assignments as needed

· Respond to data request and requests for information (audit requests).

· Communicate, verbally and in writing, with various groups including internal customers and team members to perform work functions.

· Generates custom and ad hoc reports as requested by management

· Serves as backup support to other accounting department team members

· Perform other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Intermediate Excel skills required

· Demonstrates firm understanding of how to apply GAAP to general ledger accounting

· Consistently demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills

· Collaborative work style

· Ability to consolidate information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions

· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

· Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals

· Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously

· Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion and initiative

· Strong aptitude for system technology and applications.

Experience and Education

· Experience analyzing informational data in an ERP system (GP experience a plus)

· 2+ years of accounting experience

· Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience

Compensation details: 60000-70000 Yearly Salary
