Payroll Processor - Hybrid

The Payroll Processor will be part of a small team in College Station that works closely together. This role is hybrid in College Station, and will require working from the office at least 1 day per week.

Role Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll information in Oracle PeopleSoft
• Assist in the preparation of yearly taxes
• Track and respond to inquiries via phone and email
• Assist with audits as needed
  

Desired Skills & Experience

• Must have a bachelor's degree
• 2-3 years of Payroll Processing and Tax experience
• Experience using Oracle / PeopleSoft systems
• Ability to accurately coordinate, administer, and maintain weekly and bi-weekly payroll activities, including time and labor entry, processing of tax documents and ensuring compliance.
• Proficiency in understanding legislation related to payroll and potential changes
• Ability to conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies
• Ability to accurately manage and track incoming phone and email inquiries; including the ability to respond and resolve within 1 business day.
• Highly skilled in time management and organization,
• Payroll proficiency and resolution required.
• Ability to support year end activities including W2 validation and distribution
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Established customer service skills.
• Ability to identify and standardize process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain composure, to be adaptable in difficult situations, and to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
