Job Summary

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls.
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed.
• Maintain outdoor grounds, cut grass and trim bushes.
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Washing and clean windows and mirrors.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
• Dust furniture and fixtures.
• Operate equipment such as (Bobcats, dump truck, lawn mower, vacuum equipment, snow blower, water wash equipment)
• Work previously handled by Janitor classifications (cleanup such as picking up and removal of junk, debris, material, coal, coal dust, fluids, ash, lawn mowing, housekeeping)

Required Skills & Experience

• Must successfully pass/complete POSS/MASS aptitude test
• Available for overtime assignments
• Ability to work from heights as required (ladder, scaffolding, sky climber, etc.)
• Ability to work in confined spaces as required
• Ability to push, pull, or lift minimum of 50 pounds
• Walking, standing, bending, and climbing as required
• Work environment (hot, cold, dusty, noisy, inside building, and outdoor)
• Must be medically qualified to use a respirator at all times.
• Operate equipment such as (Bobcats, dump truck, lawn mower, vacuum equipment, snow blower, water wash equipment)
• Work previously handled by Janitor classifications (cleanup such as picking up and removal of junk, debris, material, coal, coal dust, fluids, ash, lawn mowing, housekeeping)
