Metal Quality Control Technician

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a steel manufacturer who is looking for a Metal Quality Control Technician to join their team. This is a contract to hire opportunity, working 1st shift hours. Responsibilities: Quality Control Technician will inspect metal materials at initial, in process and final stages of the manufacturing process QC Tech will document quality activities and ensure quality compliance is followed QC Tech will prepare necessary quality certification documentation QC Tech will review quality procedures and work with Quality Assurance to implement new quality processes QC Tech will work with a team to resolve corrective action items and assist to identify any area of process improvement Requirements: Candidates must have at least 1 year quality experience on metal materials in a manufacturing environment, 2+ years’ preferred Candidates must have good mathematical skills including solid understanding of fractions Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings Candidates must have previous experience using quality testing equipment to include calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. Candidates must be computer savvy Candidates must be able to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED
