Finisher Blaster/ Painter

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking three (3) Finisher III positions to join our team in Department 1481. These first shift positions are ideal for individuals with experience as industrial blasters/painters. The successful candidates will possess knowledge of mixing industrial paints and using both wet film thickness gauges and dry mil gauges. A valid driver's license and some experience driving a forklift are also required for this role.

Essential Duties:
• Operate industrial blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Mix and prepare industrial paints according to specifications.
• Apply paints to various surfaces, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Use wet film thickness gauges and dry mil gauges to measure and maintain paint application consistency.
• Perform routine maintenance on blasting and painting equipment.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations related to painting and blasting operations.

Requirements/Skills:
• Must have industrial blaster/painter experience.
• Knowledgeable in mixing industrial paints and using wet film thickness and dry mil gauges.
• Valid Driver’s License (DL) with a clean driving record.
• Some experience in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and workplace standards.

Salary:
• $17.75/hr

Physical Demand:
• The position requires standing, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:
• This role operates in a workshop environment that may involve exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals related to painting and blasting operations. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Shift Time/Overtime:
• This is a first shift position (Shift 1). Overtime availability may be required based on the needs of the department.

Education:
• High school education or equivalent is preferred but not required.
