Server Assistant

Salted Edge Modern Kitchen + Bar on the water located at West Shores 110 S 243rd St in Waterloo NE, is in search of a creative & edgy Server Assistant, full-time or part-time, to team up with us in our lake-life atmosphere.

Our executive management & restaurant operations team has over 141+ years of collective experience that we rely upon as we stay dedicated to creating an educated, motivated, and inspired TEAM of employees.

In this position, the Server Assistant supports the servers who contribute to the front-of-house functions in the restaurant. Your demonstration of quality service & genuine hospitality assisting the servers following our Sequence of Service Standards is highly influential as we strive to exceed guests’ expectations.

Server Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assisting servers maintain the Sequence of Service Standards
• Helping the guests select menu items, recommending cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining chef’s specials and identifying wines
• Work alongside service & support teammates to provide an excellent dining experience
• Ensure the guest dining experience, as a whole, is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining area around guests
• Informing managers of any special accommodations, such as specific food allergies
• Assisting with the delivery & serving of all food items to appropriate guests
• Ensuring tables are clear, cleaned, and reset promptly between seatings
• Upholding the sanitation & safety standards of Salted Edge
• May be cross-trained as called upon to execute duties in other positions when necessary

Server Assistant Qualifications:

• Must be at least 19 years of age & able to work independently
• 1-2 years experience in a full-service fine dining or high-volume setting preferred
• Personable and passionate for the art of hospitality while thriving in a team atmosphere
• Possesses a professional, welcoming, and positive attitude while at work
• Able to work flexible shifts & schedules, including weekends and some holidays while having a reliable mode of transportation

Employment Package:

• $10 - $15 per hour + tips
