POSITION SUMMARY:

Working under the direct supervision of the Group Supported Employment (GSE) Senior Program Manager, the GSE Assistant Manager’s primary responsibility is to assist the Senior Program Manager effectively and efficiently with the direct operations of the program. The Assistant Manager supports the Senior Program Manager to ensure the delivery of high quality GSE services. The GSE Assistant Manager works in close partnership with the job site Managers to support the development and direct supervision of the Job Coaches and Program Participants, and ensures the Job Coaches are performing at, or above, expectation with effective operations of the GSE program at each site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. *Demonstrate Company’s Values at all times.
  2. *Provides direct supervision of GSE program Job Coaches and GSE participants in collaboration with GSE Senior Program Manager and site Manager
  3. *Support and manage the initial onboarding training for Job Coaches, and Certified Monitor training for GSE sites.
  4. *Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to Job Coaches and Program Participants.
  5. *Attend and/or facilitate program Participant team meetings and complete the development and implementation of Individual Written Rehabilitation Plans (IWRPs) under the close supervision of the GSE Senior Program Manager.
  6. *Lead monthly Goals and Objectives meetings for Job Coaches
  7. *Work with Job Coaches to ensure that they understand the Participant’s individual needs and that those needs are met; request adaptive equipment as needed.
  8. *Ensure Job Coaches are supporting Program Participants using Person Centered practices, to develop and achieve their individual program objectives.
  9. *Ensure and monitor that Job Coaches complete and submit all required documentation timely, and accurately.
  10. *Ensure Job Coaches properly implement all program procedures to support the GSE Participants making progress toward their goals.
  11. *Work closely with GSE Senior Program Manager to plan, lead, and facilitate monthly Job Coach Meetings.
  12. *Manage the timekeeping of the Job Coaches and Participants in timekeeping management system; to include collecting and maintaining any relevant documentation.
  13. *Ensure and monitor that each job site has Certified Monitors in collaboration with Employee Services and Support (ESS) and GSE Site Lead.
  14. *Report to various site locations with same day notice and multiple locations as needed.
  15. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with GSE Job Site Managers
  16. Work in partnership with Job Site Managers to ensure the GSE program adds value and functions as a part of their team.
  17. Work closely with the GSE Senior Program Manager and Job Coaches to support Program Participant’s movement toward competitive employment services.
  18. *Assist the GSE Senior Program Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files within all laws, regulations, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Standards, and company and program policy and procedures.
  19. *Maintain and follow CARF accreditation standards in all program practices.
  20. *Report accidents and injuries to the GSE Senior Program Manager and facilitate the accurate completion of all appropriate reports to appropriate company channels and Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
  21. Complete all assigned paperwork/documentation and reports timely and accurately.
  22. Demonstrate good work habits for Job Coaches and Program Participants. Maintain a good attitude towards the operation of the GSE program and be a positive role model for individuals providing and receiving rehabilitation services.
  23. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with a focus on best practices for the GSE program as they relate to improving Program Participant work skills and behaviors.
  24. Focus on continual improvement in all areas of the program, including positive behavioral supports by creating work environments and stations that meet the individual participant’s needs.
  25. *Attend monthly safety meetings and work with GSE Site Lead to provide and implement relevant safety information/procedures to Job Coaches.
  26. Ensure all safety rules are followed by the Job Coaches and Program Participants and that the general upkeep of the work areas meets the Kaizen standards of Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, Inc.
  27. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, Inc.
  28. Attend trainings as requested.
  29. Assist in other areas as requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Vocational Evaluation, Social Services, or related area preferred.
  2. Case management or experience working directly with people in an employment setting or related area.
  3. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  4. Understanding of the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) system as it pertains to employment services.
  5. Must possess or able to obtain: Level 1 Fingerprint card.
  6. Able to complete Article 9 training, Prevention and Support Training, and CPR/First Aid certification.
  7. Must have strong problem-solving skills, and ability to facilitate many tasks with minimal direction.
  8. Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust the day’s schedule with minimal notice to meet the needs of the program.
  10. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  11. Must have strong professional verbal and written communication skills; English. English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
  12. Must have dependable transportation and ability to travel between Goodwill locations daily.
  13. Must possess and maintain current Arizona Driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  14. Must enjoy working with people with developmental disabilities using the prescribed rehabilitation process of Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, Inc.
