The Companion/Sitter provides homemaking services as well spends time with an individual. The Companion/Sitter may not provide hands-on personal care to clients, per state regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in a home care setting
  • Must have valid NC Driver's License and Auto Insurance
  • Personal means of transportation
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be very dependable
  • Must understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care

Job Duties:
  • Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks, including such duties as preparation of meals, laundry, shopping.
  • Provide companionship services, such as playing games, cards, reading, watching television and accompanying trips and on outings.
  • Report to the Service Supervisor any incidents or problems related to his or her work, immediately.
  • Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client's behavior to the Service Supervisor.
  • Follow the client's assigned plan of care.
  • Provide escort service such as accompanying the client to doctor's appointments and other errands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor.
