LEADING EDGE CREDIT UNION CFO

Leading Edge Credit Union ($145 M in Assets), located in SW MN Is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to lead the continued growth of the Credit Union. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO serves as a member of the executive team participating in the steering of the credit union’s growth strategies. THE CFO is responsible for the continued development and implementation of accounting practices, product pricing, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will oversee the internal accounting, financial and asset/liability management operations while ensuring financial stability.

Requirements:

Establish, coordinate, and maintain the accounting system which properly reflects the financial position of the credit union.

Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trend analysis to assist the continued growth of the Credit Union.

Provide financial input, analysis, and leadership on strategic issues affecting the credit union.

Develop and monitor reliable cash flow projection process.

Monitor and analyze the Asset Liability Management program and review overall asset/liability mix to determine appropriate actions while maintaining credit union financial soundness.

Manage and monitor credit union’s investment portfolio to ensure consistency with objectives.

Studies long range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth and credit union financials.

Identifies opportunities for expansion and income generation.

Work closely with the Executive team to assist in proper pricing of LECU products and services.

Extensive personal contact with Board of Directors, community leaders, internal managers and industry leaders.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors’ degree accounting or related field required. CPA preferred.

Professional certificate and/or graduate degree preferred.

Five to ten years related experience, with at least five of those years in senior leadership position in a financial or related industry.
