We are looking for an experienced Echo Tech/Ultrasound Tech to join our team of medical imaging professionals in northeast Florida at our Beach Boulevard location. Now is a great time to consider joining our team due to our expansion in the area. We have 5 centers in and around the Jacksonville Metro area, as well as a center located in St. Augustine.

Description

An Echo Technologist performs Cardiac sonograms ordered by a referring physician, in order to provide excellent service and patient care. Echo technologists specialize in cardiac care of patients, performing echocardiograms, carotid scans, venous and arterial studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms. This includes creating a tranquil environment so patients are able to adhere to examination instructions. The ideal candidate would be well versed in cardiac, vascular, and general ultrasound.

Essential Functions:

• The Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Technologist is responsible for the direct and indirect care of patient assignment.

• The Sonographer follows the established guidelines for the standardization of views and valve measurements.

• The Sonographer ensures that the quality of the studies adhere to the standards.

• The individual will work to adhere to ICAEL standards for the facility and will take advantage of continuing education.

• Responsible for working collaboratively with assigned staff.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular sonography.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS /RVT) or registered within one year of entering the position.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • 5 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
