The Opportunity: As a Finance Assistant, you will assist the finance team in meeting the overall fundraising goals for the party. This job largely entails partnering with the Deputy Finance Director and Events Manager, while also assisting other areas of fundraising as needed (i.e. event work, data entry, direct mail, etc.). In this role, you will be a part of a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and friendly team that works closely with the major campaigns in the state (Governor, Senate, local races etc.) as we work towards electing Democrats up and down the ballot and funding critical programs/ initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Events Manager with implementing the Events program through:
    • Data ---> organizing outreach, tracking revenue and attendance, and maintaining/ managing data through NGP and Events Tracker.
    • Relational building and outreach ---> Calling/email potential donors/event attendees, assisting in the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events as needed
  • Assist the Call Time Manager with executing the call time program.
    • Data ---> extensive donor research, organizing outreach, tracking results, and maintaining/ managing data.
    • Relational building and outreach ---> staffing principals, talking with past and prospective donors as needed, and assisting with follow up (i.e. scheduling future calls, chasing pledges, and drafting fundraising communications).
  • Help to maintain the department's fundraising database.
  • Execute daily tasks and operational processes as directed by the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director
  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Skills with Google Sheets and excel (strong plus).
  • Skills with reaching out via phone (r.e. phone banking, cold calling, donor outreach).
  • Experience with donor communication.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin politics.
