RN - Telemetry - Cardiac / Med Surg

Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry/Tele - Cardiac / Med Surg

To ensure success, telemetry nurses should demonstrate extensive experience in caring for critically ill patients and the ability to work in a highly demanding environment. Accomplished candidates expertly interpret medical technology data and provide their patients with dedicated care.

Experience Requirements:

• Must be comfortable and hit the ground running working Nights
• Strong proficiency & experience working on Cardiac/Tele, Med-Tele Units - Required
• Previous travel experience: strongly strongly encouraged
• Must have telemetry experience
• Neuro/stroke experience encouraged
• Please disclose any previous *** Hospital (or Albany Med) experience on profile
• Cerner Experience required
• Clinician MUST be reliable! No attendance concerns, call outs, etc... - very patient oriented Unit

Unit Details:

• Consist of mainly tele/cardiac patients
• # of Beds in unit: 16
• RN to Patient ratio: 4:1
• Patient Population: Adult - Geriatric
• EMR: Cerner
• Dress code: any color scrubs
• Remote Tele Unit
• MUST be able to follow & comfortably the Department expectations to interpret, measure & document cardiac rhythms 2x/shift.

Certification Requirements:

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

State License Requirements: New York

Additional License Requirements: New York license must be in hand at profile upload. Facility will not pend license
