Supervisor - Production Supervisor 2nd

Manufacturing Experience Required

Production Supervisor 2nd Shift

We are currently in search of a Second shift Production Supervisor to oversee operations of the machining departments. This person will be responsible for overseeing the site's toolroom, CNC machining, automated assembly, laser operations and other 2nd shift needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong leadership skills--Establishes clear standards for individual performance and creates a work environment that allows for the achievement of high performance and individual development goals.
  • Ability and willingness to hold self and employees accountable
  • Gets people working in teams; celebrates their successes
  • Supervises and manages employees in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws
  • Leading a medium to high volume, production department
  • Ensure customer requirements are achieved.
  • Follows and promotes principles of "right things right". Focused on Safety
  • Analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems
  • Ensure department metrics are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner
  • Manages production schedules; is accountable for the achievement of area performance objectives, product quality and productivity
  • Collaborate with Manager on scheduled performance reviews

Skills:

  • 5+ years related experience in manufacturing
  • 5+ years' experience in people management and the supervision of a production team
  • Accountable, able to Prepare/Track/Follow up daily activities and projects from start to finish
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, tenacious and strong team player
  • Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills
  • Lean and 5S understanding
  • Knowledge of MRP system controls for production processes, including bills of materials, routings, setup sheets, work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000/13495 preferable
  • MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel

  • These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job: sitting, standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, pushing, carrying, etc.

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk

  • Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently

  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or in paper format
