Warehouse Support Specialist - 2nd Shift

Aerotek is currently hiring for anyone open to first or second shift. 2nd shift warehouse associate at our client's distribution center located in Hammond, LA. Our 2nd shift has a set schedule of Monday-Thursday 2:00PM-1:00AM and includes some overtime opportunities on Fridays, or some weekends.

Description:

Associates in a Warehouse Support role may perform activities related to scheduling inbound and/or outbound activities in the Distribution Center;

• Ensuring inventory accuracy within the processing areas using scanners, ERP and SAP systems, and general loading/unloading documents.
• General truck loading per vendor compliance on outbound shipments.
• Performing required administrative and general office/clerical duties in support of a particular functional area within the DC.
• Other pre-loading activities; pallet stacking, wrapping, or securely tying down product.
• Equipment operating as directed to complete the necessary tasks.

Individuals in these positions must work cooperatively with other associates, vendors, carriers, and productively with little/some supervision, be detail-oriented, and have proven time management skills.

Attendance and timeliness is monitored so reliable transportation is a must.

The starting pay rate is scheduled as $16 per hour and employees will be reevaluated only 6 months after starting.
