General Job Description:

Provides general clerical support, documentation, checking and assistance in office and/or field areas Provides general clerical support, documentation, checking and assistance in office and/or field areas.

Functional Requirements:

  1. Performs basic clerical functions including filing, copying, binding reports, typing and checking documentation, invoices, correspondence, etc.
  2. Proofreads records or forms.
  3. Operates business machines such as calculators, typewriters, computers, facsimile machines, copiers, etc.
  4. Receives and coordinates storage of packages, office supply deliveries, etc.
  5. May answer, screen and direct telephone calls.
  6. May compile and prepare various reports.
  7. May coordinate and process general administrative work, including supply requisitions, inventory, etc.
  8. Performs additional assignments as required.
  9. Always maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Qualification Standards:

  1. Minimum one (1) year of experience or equivalent combinations of experience and training
  2. Knowledge of business machines, computers and/or menu driven applications
  3. May be required to have knowledge of computer software such as Google Docs, Sheets, Mail and other various software.
  4. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Pre-employment/post-employment qualification test, if applicable.
  6. Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
  7. Turner Industries Group/Job site orientation/Hazard Communication and required tests.
  8. Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses - OSHA approved Z87 if applicable, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.).
  9. Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and machines; lifting from ground level, waist lever, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; bending; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; repeating tasks of short duration; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

Mental Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

Work Environment Factors:

  • Location: industrial construction sites and/or office environment
  • Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways
  • Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominantly indoor climate; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

There will be times that the individual may be required to perform a task other than their normal operation required by the company or the foreman, owing to the job demand.
