About the Opportunity
The Chief Executive Officer at BluePath Service Dogs is entrusted with leading the organization towards achieving its vision of being the definitive leader in autism service dog provision. This role encompasses strategic leadership and organizational management, requiring the CEO to prepare a strategic plan that aligns with BluePath’s mission, establish clear goals, and ensure continuous improvement through effective feedback systems. The CEO will oversee operations, fostering a positive culture that promotes collaboration, creativity, and high ethical standards. Financial management is a key responsibility, with the CEO ensuring fiscal stability, overseeing budgeting, and directing resources to meet organizational objectives. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the CEO will enhance governance, optimize board structure, and lead fundraising efforts to grow revenue and ensure sustainability. Moreover, the CEO will serve as the public face of BluePath, articulating the mission, vision, and values to stakeholders and the broader community, and spearhead communications and marketing strategies to raise awareness and support for the organization.

About the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the CEO position at BluePath Service Dogs will possess a deep commitment to the organization's mission with extensive leadership experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector, specifically in areas related to autism, service animals, or similar fields. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, with advanced degrees in relevant fields being highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate a successful track record in strategic planning, financial management, and fundraising, as well as experience in building relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, government entities, and the community. Strong leadership skills are essential, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence. The candidate should also have a robust understanding of autism spectrum disorders and the significant role service dogs play in enhancing the lives of those affected. Familiarity with the assistance dog field, along with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, will be crucial for the successful leadership of BluePath.
