Samaritan Healthcare is seeking a Chief of Ambulatory Services for our growing community! At Samaritan Healthcare we are dedicated to providing healthcare services to the community that we serve. The Chief Ambulatory Services Officer is responsible for a division, which includes departments that provide direct patient care and support services throughout the organization. This division also provides support and direction for the development of community programs and outreach services. The purpose of the Chief Ambulatory Services is to administer, direct and coordinate activities related to clinic and ambulatory care services.

This is a full-time salary exempt position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Ambulatory Services Officer is responsible for a division, which includes departments that provide direct patient care and support services throughout the organization. This division also provides support and direction for the development of community programs and outreach services. The purpose of the Chief Ambulatory Services is to administer, direct and coordinate activities related to clinic and ambulatory care services.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Outpatient Provider Clinic Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, Rehabilitation Services, Diabetic Education, Physician Recruitment, Plant Services, and Security.

    2. Responsible for reporting audit goals, resource management and fiscal stewardship, maximization of productivity and cost containment, revenue generating opportunities, and monthly operational review.

  • Technical / Professional Knowledge: Achieve and maintain a level of knowledge / competence in areas of responsibility to effectively and safely perform all of their duties and responsibilities; keeping abreast of current trends and development.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or similar.

Experience:

  1. Fifteen (15) years of total healthcare experience.
  2. Ten (10) years of Management and/or Director level experience in healthcare.

Skills:

  1. Must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
  2. Effective interpersonal relationship skills including good listening and communication skills.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in variety of settings and with a wide variety of people and different organization levels.
  4. Ability to develop effective relationships with various stakeholders.
  5. Ability to effectively supervise employees.
  6. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately.
  7. Ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation.
  8. Ability to develop and implement plans for program/department operations.
  9. Ability to properly operate all equipment required for this position.
  10. Knowledge of administration principles and the ability to apply them in a changing healthcare environment.
