Job Description
The Electric Operations Manager oversees the Line Design Department and the Construction Department. The Electric Operations Manager is responsible for the line design function which includes analyzing residential, industrial, and commercial electrical needs and infrastructures. Will coordinate projects with all entities while demonstrating proficient knowledge of operating procedures. Responsible for the success of the electrical systems reliability by way of system improvements, efficiency of constructions, service crew and ROW crews.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent
• 15 years related experience in electrical distribution utility industry
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code and National Electric Code
• Valid Class A CDL Driver’s License

Typical Duties

• Researches methods to improve workplace efficiency & productivity.
• Provides support to the CEO and serve on the management team.
• Manages daily operations and oversee the Line Design Department and Construction Department.
• Recommends budget requests and changes to CEO.
• Responsible for the success of the electrical systems operations, systems reliability, efficiency of construction, service crews, etc.
• Oversees programs and system reliability, provide feedback and recommendations.
• Manages finances by coordinating with CFO and other company staff.
• Monitors purchases, authorizes expenditures and approves purchase orders.
• Meets with large potential customers to review final details for the electric construction.
• Offers community support to cities in service territory by communicating regularly with neighboring utilities and serving on various industry boards and committees.
• Handles customer complains and claims with insurance company.
• Oversees the distributed generation installation within company service territory.
• Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
