Transportation County Manager

Position Summary
Develops and administers a transportation program to meet all the requirements of the daily transportation operations in a multi-county area. Recruits and supervises transportation personnel and makes recommendations on employment, transfers, promotions and separations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares bus routes
• Prepare weekly schedules for drivers and dispatchers
• Must be able to drive all PACS Vehicles and fill in as necessary
• Prepares and updates bus schedules
• Works with Maintenance Staff to maintain Fleet Vehicles assigned to this division
• Submits transportation employee payroll time sheets on a semi-monthly basis
• Maintain safety standards in conformance with state and insurance regulations
• Conforms to all state laws and regulations regarding public transportation.
•  Submits all reports to Director or Assistant Director of Transportation or Operations Manager
• Contacts local news media during inclement weather
• Attends appropriate staff meetings
• Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality
• Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned by the Director or Assistant Director 
• Keeps track of driver progress on routes

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Other Professional Skill Requirements
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and written.
• Must be customer service oriented
• Must have superior organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills
